Singapore 2012: Prelude

“Huli man daw at magaling, naihahabol din.“
I’ve been scrambling for an English quote that would capture the back-story of this trip but I wasn’t able to find one that was as effective as the Filipino proverb above. (Ish! Help!) Loosely translated, it means “If something’s good, it’s never too late.“. Bingo.
Singapore has been a looong time coming. For years (three to be exact) I have made countless plans – even purchased tickets already – to visit the Lion City but none came to fruition. I’m so relieved that finally, I was able to this year.
To say that I was impressed with the country’s modernity, orderliness and discipline would be an understatement (who doesn’t/wouldn’t really?), but truth be told, I found something inexplicably missing. Weird, yes? Anyway, what follows are my favorite snapshots (food and places, of course) and some anecdotes of our four-day stay at the city-state. Cheers!
